In the same period, turnover also increased to £112m.
Head of marketing communications Nick Wake said that while the whole company contributed to the results, the events division in particular had a good year.
"The events team dealt with some major events for significant clients, including Nissan, Caterpillar, Rolls Royce and Sony, which took 1,200 delegates to Malta in May at very short notice," he said.
He added that he felt the growth was sustainable: "We are confident we can keep pleasing our clients and repeat the success next year," he said.
- Grass Roots head of events Neil Pace has left the company, along with business development manager PJ Mitchell. The pair have left to set up an events division at production company The Dobson White Partnership (DWP), with Mitchell as business development director and Pace as head of events following six months of gardening leave.
