The Big Five African game animals - the lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino - have long been an established part of South Africa's lure. Some even throw in the giant whale, making it the Big Six. The theme was picked up two years ago when the South African Federation of Conference Cities (SAFCC) was set up. It was decided to market the country to the C&I industry as the Big Six conference cities: Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth and Bloemfontein.
