Warwickshire, it seems, has an unfair advantage. It is slap in the middle of Britain and embraces Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Coventry - with their artistic, literary, historical and architectural attractions - and a mass of gorgeous rolling countryside to boot. Venues run the gamut of style, ranging from the state-of-the-art Techno Centre, founded by Coventry University Enterprises, to the 12th-century Stoneleigh Abbey, founded by Cistercian monks.
