Although jaded UK residents tend to overlook the fact, London has a huge amount of cachet for international audiences, as well as for many regional British visitors. It is also considered, together with New York, Paris and Hong Kong, one of the hot spots of the world with its melee of architecture, history, celebrities, museums, restaurants, and somewhat breathless charm.
