The Accor group is rebranding its properties in an attempt to heighten worldwide awareness of its hotels.
New logos have been created, featuring the Accor identity, for each of the group's hotel brands and services.
'The bottom line is that Accor is not well known in the global market,' said company spokes-person Amanda Gore-Booth. 'Few are aware that hotels such as Ibis and Novotel are actually Accor brands.'
The rebranding means that 'Accor hotels' will be featured in the logos of the brands Sofitel, Ibis, Novotel, Mercure, Form-ula 1, Suitehotel, Etap, Red Roof Inns, Motel 6, Coralia and Thalassa International. The change will be supported by an extensive billboard campaign in city centres and out of town locations.
'Rebranding should increase the visibility of the group to clients, ensuring people realise the property is part of Accor,' said Gore-Booth.
