Diary: Virgin's competition has retched its limits

Virgin doesn't tend to be backwards in coming forwards where bold initiatives are concerned, but the company's latest marketing ploy is truly something to behold. The Branson dominion recently held a competition to find fresh artwork for the humble airline sickbag, and the response has been an enormous one. "We felt that the ubiquitous bag was long overdue a makeover," explained a spokeswoman, and the gallery at www.designforchunks.com hosts an array of funky proposals as testament. Virgin: it's got the va-va-vomit.
