KNTO London office assistant marketing manager Ramy Salameh said: "The aim is that every major city in Korea will eventually have a conference centre."
Since 2000, centres have opened in Seoul, Busan, Jeju and Daegu, and six more are due to open in Goyang, Gwangju, Changwon, Daejeon, Incheon and Suwan by 2009.
Korea has underlined its C&I potential with the hosting of major events such as the PATA conference on Jeju Island in 2003.
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit is also scheduled to be held in Busan in 2005.
A fam trip for UK buyers is planned for spring 2005 to showcase conference facilities in Seoul, Busan, Jeju and Daegu.
