Diary: Shaggy tale of life's preferred luxuries

Diary firmly believes that life's true beauty lies in its rewards - especially when you get a small chocolate left on your pillow. And the rest of you agree, it seems: results from this year's National Incentive Survey show Caribbean holidays, weekends in Monte Carlo and spa days pinpointed as gifts that left their recipients all aglow. Away from luxury niceties, however, the other end of the spectrum borders on the surreal - 2004's most disappointing rewards include juggling balls, flip-flops, goldfish and dog food. Now that's ruff.
