Ooh, sounds exotic. What's the lowdown? It's big, it's bold, and it's nestled in the south of incentive hotspot Uzbekistan. I'm sold. So why are we going? Good question, improbable answer. Not only does Samarkand boast some sublime Islamic architecture and the renowned bulk of Registan Square, it's also known as the 'Rome of the East'.
