Venue Focus: Historic mansion opens for larger events

English Heritage has opened the doors of a Jacobean mansion and grounds to C&I planners seeking a location for events for up to 10,000. Based near Cambridge, Audley End House and Gardens was the former country palace of King Charles II. The extensive grounds, designed by the famed Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, can be hired for outdoor events such as balls, gala dinners, corporate fun days and open-air theatre performances. The interior features the Great Hall, which caters for receptions of 100 or seats 80 guests for dinner. Tel: 01799 529403 RE993.
