First Off: Airlines may find their salvation in C&I travel

There are tough times ahead for the airline industry if the words of Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary count for anything. He was recently quoted in the FT forecasting an "awful" winter season for European airlines. Plagued by the security issues that have haunted the industry since the 9/11 attacks, and with low-cost carriers continuing to nip at the heels of scheduled airlines, many operators are seeing their margins eroded.
