FIRST OFF: Ignorance could be heartbreak for hotels

The opinions expressed by the subject of this month's In Person profile may cause concern in certain quarters (see p80). Simon Elliott, who controls budget for C&I activity at a division of DaimlerChrysler UK, intends to use hotels less in future, and choose unusual venues for corporate meetings. He claims he is less than impressed by the lack of personal service at hotels his firm has used.
