What kind of events do you work on?
Conferences, incentives and product launches.
What's been the highlight of your career so far?
I managed an incentive event in Rio. I love Rio as a destination, it's so vibrant, there is so much to do and has stunning landscapes.
It was during Rock in Rio and the hotel the event was being held in just happened to have a few celebrities staying there too.
What's the most important lesson you've learned?
Events are fast paced and ever-changing but it's important to take the time you need to evaluate and give the attention to details you want to. In the long run it makes the difference.
Do agencies do enough to develop young talent?
Yes. it's important to take the time to develop young talent, to allow them to gain experience. I've already learned so much in my first 10 years. Exposure to as many live events onsite as possible is key.
It's great to be involved in the planning but to be onsite is where you really learn, can see what works as well as what challenges occur and having maximum exposure to that really helps.
What would be your dream event to work on?
It would be in Iceland on the cliff next to the Gullfoss Falls with Mary Poppins as keynote speaker. Entertainment would be Queen, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. I'd have bungee jumps over the waterfall, and a hot air balloon flight to see the Northern Lights.
What song would you walk on stage to at a big event?
Fight Song by Rachel Platten.
