'You can plan, but you can't foresee every problem'

A-List 2020: Anna Cummings is a project manager at Worldspan.

What kind of events do you work on?

Conferences and incentives.

What's been the highlight of your career so far?

That's a tough one! It would have to be between an incentive to the Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay, Bali or a company conference to the Belmond Mount Nelson, Cape Town. Both are amazing venues, in beautiful locations.

What's the most important lesson you've learned?

As much as you can plan, you can't always foresee every possible problem that might arise.

Do agencies do enough to develop young talent?

The most helpful thing for me has been working alongside very supportive colleagues, learning from them and drawing from their experience.

What needs to change in the events industry?

Sore feet!

What would be your dream event to work on?

It would be: Client - Jimmy Choo; Location - New York; Keynote speaker - Anna Wintour; Entertainment - Lady Gaga Experience.

On registration, delegates would select their shoe size and receive a complimentary, personalised pair of shoes.

What song would you walk on stage to at a big event?

Crazy in Love by Beyonce.

What job would you be doing if not in events?

A nurse.
