Smyle appoints creative director

New hire joins from TRO Group to lead a team of creatives and designers from the agency’s London office.

Smyle has hired Nick Glazier as creative director for its live and digital experiences, as well as its content agency.

He joins Smyle from TRO Group, where he led creative direction on consumer brand activations and live experiences for brands including Nissan, BMW Motorsport and British Airways.

Glazier will lead a team of creatives and designers based in Smyle’s London office. He will work across the agency’s client list, including EY, Facebook, Samsung, Salesforce and Red Bull.

"I am delighted to join Smyle where strategic creative is so important, and where event sustainability is a huge focus,” said Glazier. “Two big reasons to join this fantastic team!”

Rick Stainton, Smyle’s Group executive director, added: “We’re delighted to have welcomed Nick on board. This is a time of huge growth for us and we need bright minds and creative talent to take our experiential agency to the next level, as we push to see where digital capabilities can take the world of events as a whole.”

The agency is being bolstered by a number of new hires across its teams in London and its Hertford HQ.

In February, Smyle was ranked for the second year running in The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 list, as one of the UK’s private companies with the fastest-growing international sales.
