L’oscar London, a hotel inspired by Oscar Wilde, has launched three new private event spaces.

The Baptist is the largest of the three stunning event rooms and can accommodate up to 150 people for cocktail receptions. It is set within the building’s Grade II Listed chapel, with a large bar as a focal point.

The new spaces were launched at a drinks reception, co-hosted by The AOK Events Group.

L’oscar’s general manager, Michel Voight, said: “The AOK Events Group have been appointed by L’oscar London to act as their dedicated sales partner for private events. We are delighted they will continue to support our meeting and events department again in 2020.”

In The Library, where guests are surrounded by oak panels and glass cabinets, there is space for 72 for dinner and up to a 100 for a cocktail reception. The smaller Committee Room still has its original fireplace and vaulted hand-plastered ceiling.

Opened in 2018, L'oscar London is the first Jacques Garcia designed hotel in the capital and its interiors are full of colour and quirky touches, with images of butterflies, birds and peacock feathers combining in Garcia’s theatrical style.

The hotel is a one-minute walk from Holborn underground station.
