Odeon opens cinematic event space in London

New cinema in Islington offers a gourmet dining experience and an unusual space for business events.

Odeon has opened its brand-new Islington Square cinema, launching Odeon Luxe & Dine and a brand new event space.

The cinema is also a space for business events, with high-speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated on-site events team. The cinema screens can be used for business presentations as well as screenings, with 202 fully reclining seats with built-in tables across six screens.

Odeon Luxe & Dine allows guests to order gourmet food and drink directly to their seat while watching a movie. Items on the menu include Wagyu beef burgers, wild boar hotdogs, flatbread pizzas, signature cocktails, fine wines and beers.

Carol Welch, managing director at Odeon UK and Ireland said: "We’re thrilled to be taking Luxe to the next level with an all-new dine-in proposition. We can’t wait for film fans to get a taste of the new experience, as well as our new gourmet menu."

With capacity for up to 250 delegates, guests can enjoy a Veuve Clicquot champagne reception in the cinema’s art deco-inspired foyer space and Oscar’s Bar.

The cinema features Dolby Atmos sound and 4K projection.
