Rolls-Royce wanted to entertain over 200 high-achievers at its annual Excellence Awards at the Landmark Hotel in London, and unite them around the brand’s purpose.
Rolls-Royce asked SongDivision to deliver its ‘Rockin’ Reception’ interactive songwriting experience during the event.
As guests arrived and cocktails were served to kick off the celebrations, SongDivision entertained them with InstaHit performances. SongDivision’s musicians, who have performed with artists such as Florence + the Machine, made their way around the room asking guests a handful of questions before writing them customised songs in fewer than three minutes.
Guests then made their way into the dining room where SongDivision’s House Band provided a live soundtrack for presenters and awards recipients as they went on and off stage.
After the awards, SongDivision kicked off the interactive songwriting component of the evening, led by lead MC and facilitator for the UK and Europe, Sam McNeill.
He asked guests to provide lyrics by expressing Rolls-Royce’s brand purpose in their own words, and then while guests enjoyed their meals and drinks, the band worked behind-the-scenes to compose an original anthem using the lyrics and ideas they provided.
After dinner, guests finally heard the song they helped to write and the audience was quickly on its feet singing along and celebrating together.
The Party Band was ready to help guests dance the night away with a high-energy setlist of hits from the last four decades.
SongDivision received positive feedback, including this comment from NYS Meetings and Events who managed the event for Rolls-Royce: "What you guys do is honestly amazing and you make it all look so easy. On behalf of our client, Rolls-Royce, you understood the message of our event and executed it all so perfectly on the night.
"The anthem was a particular highlight and you made every single person in the room feel valued and proud to be there. I cannot thank you all enough."
