DPSS Events has launched as a full-service event agency and will draw on parent company DPSS' 30 years of experience working with clients to create live experiences.
The new agency's director Jonathan Carter says the move comes alongside a message that the power and importance of interacting face-to-face has "never been so true".
Speaking to C&IT, Carter said: "Our first couple of weeks have been very successful, we've received positive feedback from the market on our offering and the team are enthused and ready to go.
"We're very excited to start bringing positive change to the industry and working with partners to raise the awareness of and decrease the environmental impact of events without compromising on quality or importantly the delegate experience."
DPSS Events will be based in the same office as DPSS, a provider of corporate training and consultancy, in Worthing House, Basingstoke.
Minimising the environmental impact that events have is a key area for the DPSS Events team and the agency will look to work with partners and organisations that also share this goal.
Carter added: "The impact that events have on the plant cannot be understated, 13% of landfill in the UK can be linked back to the events and hospitality industry, and that is just shocking.
"We need to think strategically and carefully about how we deliver events and really consider the impact of every aspect from Co2 emissions to food wastage.
"This is something that I and the team are extremely passionate about and we are looking finding partners that feel the same."
Carter has worked in the events industry for almost 15 years, covering a wide range of events, including public sector conferences, marketing industry awards and investor networking events.
He was part of the launch team for the The Meetings Show and also played a key role in the re-positioning of Marketing Week’s Festival of Marketing and Masters of Marketing Awards.
