The Science Museum in South Kensington is opening the Smith Centre for both daytime and evening events.

Many of the building’s original features have been preserved to present four spaces of varying size: The Salon, The Courtyard Room, a large meeting room and small meeting room. An open-plan courtyard is also available.

The  spaces can host small meetings or drinks receptions for up to 200 people in The Salon.

The Smith Centre houses objects from the Science Museum collection, including a replica pressure suit from the last mission to the Moon and the Electrical Engineering Workshop painting by Terence Cuneo.

Jodie Guilford, business development and marketing manager at the Science Museum said: "It’s fantastic to be expanding our events offering even further with the addition of the Smith Centre, with the exciting feature of an outdoor courtyard – perfect for the warm summer evenings."
