Held in the European Union for the very first time in its history, the 9th edition in The Hague welcomed more than 1,200 hand selected entrepreneurs and 400 investors from over 170 nationalities along with top policy makers and guests including U.S. Secretary of State, Michael R. Pompeo, Ivanka Trump, Queen Maxima, Mayor of The Hague, Pauline Krikke, and Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rütte.
This year’s GES evolved around the theme "The Future Now" and focused on entrepreneur-led innovation in scalable tech, from artificial intelligence and robotics to blockchain, big data and new science in Agriculture, Connectivity, Energy, Health and Water.
The Hague’s stature and gravitas has always made it a focal point for key discussions, decisions and actions.
