New regional vice president for ILEA

International Live Events Association appoints new RVP for EMEA who will work with regional chapters.

Jane Hague

Head of business development, conferences and events at ExCeL London Jane Hague, has been selected as the new regional vice president EMEA for the International Live Events Association (ILEA).

It means that Hague returns to a leadership role within the association, following her tenure as president of the UK chapter in 2012.

"The continued globalisation of the events industry creates the need for a strong, international network that supports growth and provides contacts, knowledge and expertise in local markets," Hague said.

"The ILEA Middle East chapter is a powerhouse and has seen significant growth over the last few years. This provides a great opportunity to further expand the network in Abu Dhabi with the support of our owners, ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company)."

She will oversee a number of international chapters including Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia and serves as a liaison to the ILEA board of governors and staff based at its Chicago headquarters.

ILEA global president Sara Grauf said: "Jane is a well-respected events professional and has the energy and enthusiasm to ensure our association continues to deliver for our membership."

The global ILEA leadership team will meet in August for the annual ILEA Live conference, which takes place in Minneapolis from 8-10 August 2019.
