The top six incentive travel destinations for summer 2019 has been revealed by event agency and incentive experts CR Worldwide.

The Warwickshire-based company was ranked the top incentive agency in the UK by C&IT's State of the Industry Incentive Report 2019.

The European destinations highlighted by CR Worldwide are Croatia’s medieval city of Dubrovnik, Malta - often referred to as the new Ibiza and Italy’s volcanic island Sicily.

Destinations outside of Europe are the UAE desert metropolis Abu Dhabi, Malaysia’s tropical capital Kuala Lumpur and Rwanda, East Africa’s landlocked land of gorillas.

Dubrovnik

Some of the most unique activities employees can experience at each destination include:

Dubrovnik – Taking a Game of Thrones tour of the series’ locations, sipping cocktails on the city walls, and island hopping across the Elaphites.

Malta – Kayaking and snorkelling in the waters of Gozo’s Blue Lagoon, dining and dancing at Café Del Mar, and watching a Mediterranean sunset.

Sicily – Quad racing around Mount Etna, body rafting through the canyons of the Alcantara river, and enjoying a glass of wine at a beachside bar.

Abu Dhabi – Dune bashing through the desert, camping out under the stars, and completing a F1 driving experience on the Yas Marina Circuit.

Abu Dhabi

Kuala Lumpur – Taking in the views from the Skybridge of the Petronas Towers, experiencing a treetop canopy walk through a rainforest, and exploring the temples of the Batu caves.

Rwanda – Experiencing seeing gorillas in the wild, exploring the country’s national parks, and trekking to see the Golden monkeys.

CR Worldwide’s events operations director Jo Kelly said: "As an effective business tool, incentive travel should help motivate and inspire employees and maintain team momentum – helping to meet company targets such as increasing sales productivity and reducing employee attrition.

"Each of this year’s choice of summer destinations have been carefully selected because they offer unique experiences that will help to achieve these goals, from island-hopping around Dubrovnik to gorilla trekking in Rwanda."
