EVCOM has appointed Leigh Jagger as CEO, replacing Jennifer Jenkins who completes her two-year term at the end of June.

Jagger is the former CEO of global event management agency Banks Sadler and will take up the new role in late summer, after a handover period.

"As I was coming to the end of my time at EVCOM, I approached Leigh as a successor directly," said Jenkins.

"I knew that not only did she bring the necessary business experience for this role, but also a real understanding of the industry. Industry colleagues who have worked with Leigh over the years will be able to attest to what she will be able to bring to our membership."

"With more than 30 years’ experience in the live events industry, Leigh joins with a clear mandate from the board to create further collaboration across the industry and ensure effective campaigning for the causes that matter most to our members."

On her new role, Jagger said: "As a previous board member, I’m really excited to be joining EVCOM as CEO. It is a time of great change but also opportunity for our industry.

"I am looking forward to spending time with our members to better understand how we can tackle today’s business challenges together, as a community. I’m passionate about creating an ever-stronger voice for the industry and our members, and can’t wait to get started."
