Blitz welcomes new commercial director

Zak Roby has left TMB Events and begins a new role with Blitz, focusing on commercial strategy.

Zak Roby has joined Blitz as commercial director.

He arrives from TMB Events where he held the position of director, and will focus on strengthening the commercial strategy at Blitz. Roby will report into Mike Phillipson, managing director for Blitz.

Roby said: "I am delighted to be joining Blitz at such an exciting time. The team are fantastic and at the top of their game when it comes to their creative event production and technical knowledge, so I look forward to helping to grow the business."

Mike Phillipson, managing director of Blitz added: "It is great to welcome Zak to the Blitz team. He has a wealth of industry experience. It’s our 30th year in business and Zak’s appointment has added to the successful year we are already having."

Phil McMichael also joins as new business development director.  He joins from 9 Yards Creative, a division of Future AV where he led the commercial operation and was responsible for new business.
