Creative communications group DRPG has appointed Lord Digby Jones in an advisory role to the DRPG Board.

Lord Jones will work with the senior team to help them to "realise their vision for the future".

He is an outspoken supporter of UK businesses and was director general of the CBI and Overseas Trade and Investment Minister.

"Digby brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts from around the globe," said Dale Parmenter, CEO of DRPG.

"We have known Digby for many years and it just felt the right time for him to become our first non-exec director. We are currently in a huge growth pattern - in the last two years we doubled the size of the business and opened offices in Germany, America and Ireland.

"We need that big picture view that Digby can bring as we head for £100 million turnover by 2023."

Lord Jones said: "I’ve gotten to know the DRPG team over the years and have watched them grow into a force in the industry. I just know I can help and support them enter the next phase in their growth and it’s hugely exciting to be a part of it."

As a sitting cross-bench Peer in the House of Lords, he is also a regular business television commentator.
