Cievents has been appointed by RSA Insurance Group to provide full event management, venue sourcing and conference services for the company’s UK and Group Corporate Centre operations.

Sarah Morrison, RSA’s procurement category manager said: "We were looking for an events agency that would be consistent in terms of venue availability, service levels, and provide a solution that ensured consolidated invoicing, appropriate and consistent terms and conditions for each venue or event.

"Cievents has extensive experience and gravitas in the MICE market. We have been allocated a dedicated team who are focused on listening to what we need, delivering personal consistent service and working with us on compliance."

At the same time, the agency has hired Martin Rottiné as business leader of the agency’s meetings division.

Rottiné brings extensive experience in the hotel and MICE sectors. For the last 15 years he has held the role of international team manager at CCD Global Events, where he was responsible for the agency’s outbound MICE and venue sourcing business.

"I am excited to join cievents and lead a team of people who are experts in sourcing, negotiating and contracting hotels and venues," said Rottiné. "I am looking forward to growing this side of cievents’ business and in particular enhancing our technology and online solutions as well as improving efficiency and productivity for our clients"

Lucy Francis, UK general manager, cievents, said she was delighted to welcome Martin to cievents.

"The meetings and venue sourcing side of our business is a key pillar of cievents and Martin’s extensive expertise across the hotel and MICE industry will give our meetings division a renewed drive and focus," she added.
