A luxurious resort called You & Me by Cocoon will open in the Maldives in February.

Accommodation includes 99 overwater villas and suites and 10 suites with a private pool set on the beach. There are seven different room types to choose from.

Marketing manager Attilio Azzola said: "The new resort perfectly complements our first hotel, Cocoon Maldives, and both will offer an unrivalled experience in the region.

"We look forward to working closely with our trade partners and seeing the hotel welcome visitors from early 2019."

The adults-only You and Me by Cocoon has 109 rooms and suites, a la carte restaurants including H20, the only underwater restaurant in Raa Atoll, and one of only six in the whole of the Maldives.

It also has another four restaurants, a bar in partnership with Veuve Clicquot, pool and full-service spa with Elizabeth Arden products and treatments.

Guests can opt for a range of water sports, scuba diving, local island tours, big game fishing tours, snorkelling trips and dolphin cruises.
