Amsterdam RAI is the city’s premium arena for sustainable and cutting-edge events. Since its first exhibition in 1895, the venue has grown into a leading international exhibition and conference organisation. The RAI is a space where physical and virtual worlds combine. As well as cutting-edge technology, the RAI places sustainability high on its agenda. The build- up and breakdown of stands produces 70% of an exhibition’s waste so planners need to be aware of their impact. The RAI’s zero-waste, climate-neutral operations and sustainable product range creates an environment that enables meetings long into the future. The venue also provides environmental inspectors to point out waste management options to organisers.
With the opening of the nhow Amsterdam RAI hotel in Q1 2020, guests can experience contemporary art, design, gastronomy and cultural experiences after a day of conferences or exhibitions. Just a stone’s throw from the RAI Convention Centre and Amsterdam RAI station, 650 luxurious rooms span 25 floors at a breathtaking height of 91 meters.
A destination in its own right, the hotel is reminiscent of the convention centre’s advertising column known as ‘Het Signaal’. Amsterdam’s diverse past, present and future are reflected in the building’s superposed triangles. International symbols that recall the ‘Golden Age’ of Amsterdam as a commercial centre of Europe are prevalent.
