MITEC: A global venue with infinite possibilities

Purpose-built, versatile, incredible spaces... MITEC is the game-changing venue for events in Malaysia

The Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) sits on a sprawling 75.5 acres of the KL Metropolis, an integrated development within Kuala Lumpur’s International Trade and Exhibition District. The venue is approximately 7.5km from the Kuala Lumpur city centre and 65km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Positioned as an economic catalyst and Gateway to Southeast Asia, MITEC’s corporate philosophy is closely aligned with its vision to see Malaysia becoming a leading MICE destination. MITEC is the third-largest MICE venue in the South-East Asia region and the biggest trade and exhibition centre in Malaysia, offering more than 45,000m2 of exhibition space and triple-volume exhibition halls with infinite possibilities. As such, the venue is the game-changer. It means Malaysia can compete and meet demand in new and growing markets, including regional and international exhibitions, festivals and events – particularly the‘mega-exhibition’ market, which will attract more than 100,000 visitors and conferences or conventions from 200 to 20,000 delegates.

Boasting the biggest pillar-free exhibition hall in Malaysia, at 12,960m2, MITEC offers 11 spacious exhibition halls, a ballroom and 13 meeting rooms. Its vast, dynamic layout gives the freedom to create and stage events of all types and size; its functional and flexible spaces offer numerous features and customisable options. In a first for the country, the halls at Level 1 can support the weight of heavy machinery and vehicles. In addition, there is a direct 24-hour service ramp access to all floors, connected to every exhibition hall.

Inspired Excellence

MITEC has built environmental sustainability into its day-to-day operations and its green landscape is designed to reduce the heat-island effect. In working towards becoming established as both an international venue and a leader in the local community in its environmental practices, MITEC recently initiated the #myWorld campaign. It is also a key partner in Kind Malaysia, to help facilitate economic impact and long-term global sustainability for the country.

World-class facilities are just the beginning. MITEC also offers clients a fresh product and innovative service delivery. A dedicated and creative culinary team is ready to assist in designing the catering solution for any event, meeting the highest standards of quality and excellence. The options are designed for guests to experience the best of Malaysian flavour with a selection of Malay, Chinese and Indian dishes – innovative fusion cuisine with a modern, international touch. Talented in-house chefs ensure only the freshest ingredients are selected, complemented by modern cooking methods and dishes served with impressive style.

Leading the MICE industry with its inspired architecture and innovative features, MITEC is an ideal, impressive choice of venue to fulfil your needs and expectations and make a lasting impression. Moreover, Malaysia offers value for money, direct air access from cities around the world, a safe and stable political climate and an established supply chain that helps boost MITEC’s attractiveness. MITEC looks forward to welcoming you.
