Travel and event management business APTI Group has appointed Victoria Eagling in a newly created role of academy content training.

At the same time, it has hired Ian Davies as business development manager.

Davies brings over 20 years’ experience in the travel industry, having held senior positions at multiple TMCs. Joining the UK business development team, the role will see Ian strengthen the long-term strategy for the sales team and increase ATPI’s acquisition of new business.

Eagling was previously APTI UK technology training coordinator at ATPI, but in her new position will roll out the group’s internal online training programme and support the relaunch of the ATPI Academy.

Eagling developed and implemented bespoke training courses in her previous job, and has expertise in online training programmes.

APTI Group global director of operations John Nixon said: "Victoria has extensive experience in creating learning and training programmes and we feel confident she will lead our team to success in her new role.

"Her appointment is part of an initiative to grow the company’s training and development, alongside the relaunch of the ATPI Academy."
