Kensington Roof Gardens is set to re-open as a restaurant or members club by 2020, according to its landlord.
The popular Roof Gardens, famous for its flamingoes, had been welcoming guests since 1933 but was closed in January by its operator Virgin Group.
However, now the Evening Standard reports that Thomas Rose, from property agent Cushman & Wakefield, has been looking for a successor to Virgin.
Rose said: "It is a truly unique space. We want it to be a destination to celebrate London, something we can be really proud of. There is really nothing else quite like it in Europe."
A shortlist of new operators is being drawn up, with Cushman & Wakefield hoping to name a successful bidder early next year with a view to re-opening in late 2019 or early 2020.
