GL events hires group quality manager

Steve Collins joins the leadership team, bringing extensive experience in project management to the role.

Steve Collins joins GL Events as group quality manager, reporting to managing director, Scott Jameson. He brings with him experience working for brands including Vinci Construction, telent telecommunications and Marconi operating in the highly regulated rail, highways, telecom and construction sectors.

As well as having an extensive background as a project manager, Collins also has experience in system assurance and was recently awarded ‘Registered Project Professional’ status by the Association of Project Managers.

Scott Jameson said: "We’ve spoken a lot about quality in the industry and it’s an easy thing to claim.

"We’re constantly seeing returns on this commitment, with positive client feedback, renewed contracts and long-term relationships. Now we’ve taken an industry leading step to bring in someone with specific skills to continuously improve and to represent quality across our business."

Collins added: "We have established the fundamentals of monitoring our performance, now I’m really keen to look closer at our processes, so we can continue to strive towards even greater quality. It’s a really exciting time to be joining the organisation."
