BIM Show Live returns to NewcastleGateshead

The 2019 international technology conference will take place on 27 - 28 February 2019 at the Grade II Listed Boiler Shop.

BIM Show Live will be held at NewcastleGateshead for the third year running from 27-28 February 2019.

Digital construction enthusiasts, including architects, engineers and construction professionals, will travel to the North East from all over the world for the two-day event.

The show will offer a mix of edgy technical content and industry speakers who are passionate about the future of digital construction. The conference is designed to educate, inspire and inform, as well as providing its delegates with real examples of BIM delivery and how this can be applied to their own projects, allowing their organisations to maximise their BIM potential.

As in previous years, a ‘call for papers’ will be used to seek out the show’s speaker line up. Call for papers will be open from Thursday 6 September and close on Thursday 1 November, with the full show programme being announced in early December.

Paul Szomoru, director of business events at NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau, said: "It’s brilliant that BIM Show Live has chosen to stay in Newcastle for a third year.

One of our sector strengths here is building information modelling (BIM) and digital construction and we have some of the best companies, talent and leadership in this field in the UK. Hosting this event helps us cement our profile and reputation as being at the forefront of this significant tech sector and we look forward to welcoming its vibrant audience from across the UK and overseas."

Rob Charlton, CEO of Space Group and co-founder of BIM Show Live, said: "At BIM Show Live we provide a platform for the global BIM community to showcase digital innovation, and it’s this innovation which is powering the use of BIM on construction projects.

"BIM Show Live is a gathering place for all those who thrive on technology, it serves as a proving ground for breakthrough technologies – where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace.

"Staying true to form, and because we love all things tech, for 2019 we’re going bigger than before. We all know that BIM is about the importance of data, but it’s how we use this data to build intelligence which is the key to future-proofing our urban landscapes."
