In pictures: C&IT Awards judging day

A collection of industry experts came together to decide this year's winners for the C&IT Awards.

Industry experts from agency, corporate and association backgrounds came together to debate and decide who should be recognised at this year’s awards.

The first stage of judging was conducted remotely and it was these scores that decided the shortlist, published last week.

The second stage of judging took place yesterday at the Waldorf Hilton, the judging venue partner. Here the prestigious panel came together to reassess those shortlisted and discuss among their peers who they thought deserved the different accolades.

The judges on the day were:

Helen Arnold - Colgate Palmolive
Jane Pettman - Salesforce
Kate Scully - G4S
Peter Short - RBS
Carlo Zoccali - ILEA
Joanna Powell - ABPCO
Nikki Williams - IMEX
Fay Sharpe - Fast Forward 15
Jazzmine Quashie - Financial Trade Association
Hannah Bray - PPA
Beena Chester - London First
Deborah Crosswell - BCD Meetings & Events
Ian Cummings - CWT Meetings & Events
Marjory Brown - The Appointment Group
Alice Lock - WONDER London
Rebecca Shore - Yellow Fish
Ferne Taylor - Nteractive
Russell Allen - Crescendo
Jemma Peers - Top Banana
Jennifer Houlihan - Cascade Live
Joe O’Connell - OrangeDoor

In some categories there was a lively debate, in others it was unanimously clear, but by the end of the day the judges all rescored each entry individually. This means that even the judges don’t know who the winners are, and will have to wait for the big reveal on the night.

The C&IT Awards, in partnership with Meet in Ireland and the Dublin Convention Bureau, will take place at Hilton Park Lane (the official venue partner) on 21 September 2018. For tickets or more information visit: http://www.citawards.com/awards-night/

The dress code will be black tie with a 1920s twist, and it will be a party that even the Great Gatsby would be jealous of!
