Profits rise 9% for Huntsworth Group

Owner of WRG and The Creative Engagement Group reports strong growth in healthcare from its medical and immersive divisions.

Huntsworth plc, the owner of agencies WRG and The Creative Engagement Group, has announced an increase in profit by 9% for the first half of 2018.

The company reported its interim results for the six months to 30 June 2018, showing profit before tax is up to £11m. This is up from £10m for the year ending 30 June 2017.

Operating profit now stands at £11.8m, up from £11m in 2017, an increase of 8%.

Paul Taaffe, CEO of Huntsworth plc, said: "Huntsworth has made strong progress in positioning itself within the healthcare market and meeting the changing needs of clients following the successful acquisition of Giant Creative Strategy LLC, as well as the integration of The Creative Engagement Group and AboveNation Media LLC and further investments in all the Healthcare divisions.

"Amid tough comparatives, the group has performed well with strong growth in headline profit before tax. We are well positioned for further growth in the second half and into 2019."
