Brand new Cologne route for BA

Germany's fourth largest city offers a multitude of attractions including its famous cathedral which dominates the skyline.

British Airways has announced it will be adding a new four-a-week service from Gatwick airport to Cologne from 16 November.

During the winter season services will take off on Mondays, Thursdays. Fridays and Sundays.

With the most pubs per person of any German city, Cologne is also known for its art, history and architecture. The famous chocolate museum caters to those with a sweet tooth while beer lovers can soak up the atmosphere in one of the many beer halls.

Adam Carson, British Airways’ MD of Gatwick, said: "Cologne adds another exciting destination to our Gatwick network and is perfect for a winter break. Cologne is becoming increasingly popular due to being a cultural hub and is a living textbook on art, history and architecture."
