Profits up by 8% at Capita Travel and Events

Capita Travel and Events' gross profits have risen as operating profit decreased from £15.6 million in 2016 to £10.2m in 2017.

Capita Travel and Events has seen an 8% rise in gross profit from the 2016 to 2017 financial year, accounts posted on Companies House have shown.

Gross profit rose to £29m in the year ending 31 December 2017, up from £26.9 for the equivalent period in 2016.

In the strategic report which accompanied the accounts, S J S Mayall, director, confirmed that: "The principal activity of the company continued to be travel agents.

"There have not been any significant changes in the company’s principal activities in the year under review. The directors are not aware, at the date of this report, of any likely major changes in the company’s activities in the next year."
