IHG completes deal for 51% stake in Regent Hotels & Resorts for £29.6m

Luxury hotel group InterContinental Hotels will have the right to acquire the remaining 49% stake from 2026.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has completed its acquisition of a 51% stake in Regent Hotels & Resorts for £29.6m ($39million).

The £29.6m will be paid in three instalments and IHG will have the right to acquire the remaining 49% stake in a phased manner from 2026.

IHG will bring Regent into its brand portfolio with the intention to grow the brand from six hotels to over 40 hotels around the world.
