24 hours in Lake Lucerne, Switzerland

Fully opened in 2018, the Burgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne boasts four hotels, a health and medical excellence centre, residence suits, business facilities and the 10,000m2 Alpine Spa.

Accomodation

Arrive by private boat transfer across Lake Lucerne then hop on the 19th century restored Burgenstock Funicular straight into the hotel lobby. For MICE travellers stay at the Palace Hotel & Conference centre. Built in 1903, a full renovation took the building down to its outer walls and the hotel was reopened in August 2017. Take a walk down the museum corridor to see the hotel over the yeats. The Palace Hotel features 108 rooms offering stunning views of Lake Lucerne or the Alps. Eat at one of the 12 restaurants, lounges and bars across the resort - although you’ll need more than 24 hours to sample all the culinary delights!

Meetings and event spaces

The state-of-the-art conference and banqueting areas are the largest in central switzerland. In the Palace Hotel, a 2,200m2 conference centre is equipped with the latest technology for up to 900 people. 31 flexible meeting rooms are on site with a stunning 500 m2 lake view Ballroom. The Diamond Domes tennis courts can provide an additional 1,800 m2 of meetings and events space with a view overlooking the Alps. The whole resort is equipped for MICE travellers but the Palace Hotel is their best offering for both business and leisure.

Activites

The Burgenstock is positioned 30 minutes away from Lucerne and an hour from Zurich airport making it the ideal venue for international delegates. To relax outside of the boardroom, guests have access to the full Burgenstock resort with the majestic Alpine spa covering 10,000m2, 8 world dining options, medical centre hotel (Waldhotel Health and Medical excellence), three Davis Cup standard tennis courts, a cinema, 70km of hiking and biking trails, a nine hole golf course, the highest outdoor elevator in Europe, curling, ice skating and horse stables.
