Our first ever International Forum is taking place at Pastana Algarve Race hotel and the Autodromo racecourse in Portugal.

C&IT’s first ever International Forum is underway in Portgual, bringing together agencies, corporates and associations for two days of meetings, talks and motor-racing inspired activities.

After the delegates landed in Faro on Tuesday morning, they were taken to the hotel to check in and register for the event with Cvent. Everyone was then taken to the nearby Autodromo to try out their skills behind the wheel of some seriously fast cars at the AIA Racing School.

It was time for everyone to get in touch with their Fast and Furious side, by ‘drifting’ a Porsche round a circular track and winding their way through a narrow track full of twists in a souped up Honda Civic R.

If that wasn’t enough to bring out their inner boy-racer, there was also a ‘moose test’ where drivers take evasive action at high speed in a Porsche to avoid a moose (or in this case some road cones – don’t worry, no moose were harmed in the making of this event). Off-roading and a trip to the Autodromo’s race-day control centre rounded things off.

With the adrenaline returning to normal levels, everyone was taken back to the hotel for welcome drinks and a delicious Portuguese BBQ on the balcony, as the sun went down over the racetrack.
