ATPI appoints head of commercial operations

Kathy Larkan joins the management team in Australia, bringing more than 20 years of travel industry experience.

ATPI has hired a new head of commercial operations, Kathy Larkan, who will be based in the Australian head office in Melbourne.

Bringing a wealth of experience, Larkan has worked in the travel industry for more than 20 years in senior account management and operational roles for a number of leading travel management companies. Most recently she was regional manager of sales and account management at QBT Travel.

Larkan will work alongside Matt Grainger, head of commercial strategy who will continue to lead the sales team, to deliver a stronger focus on client engagement.

Lesley Owen has also been appointed as director of supplier relations, Asia Pacific. This newly created role has responsibility for the strategic approach and delivery of air fares, accommodation, car hire and content optimal distribution across the region.  

"The development of the management team in Australia is part of our ongoing investment and commitment to growth and market leadership," said Peter Muller, international board director. "I look forward to working with our enhanced team as we continue to realise our future ambitions for growth."
