Earlier this week, the GTMC Conference took place (10-12 June) at the Powerscourt Hotel in Co. Wicklow, Ireland.

It featured speakers from the world of travel and business, including International Airlines Group chief executive Willie Walsh (whose talk we covered here) and Travelport’s EVP and CCO Stephen Shurrock as keynote speakers.

Some of the guest speakers alongside them were William Hobbs from Barclays, David Trunkfield, partner at PwC, Liz Emmott from Amadeus, Niall Tracey from Meet in Ireland, Alice Ferrari of Founders Factory, Radio 4 broadcaster Steve Richards and C&IT’s editor Calum Di Lieto.

Topics of discussion included ‘Bridging The Gap Through Travel Technology’ and ‘Catching MICE – The Opportunity Of The Events Industry’.
