'I'd like to have worked on the royal wedding and seen how they dealt with the guest list'

A-List 2018 profile: Rebecca Walton, 26, is an event manager at Cascade Productions.

What kind of events do you work on?

We work on corporate, b2b events – conferences, exhibitions and private parties. I specialise in logistics, travel and venue finding.

What is your advice/motto for success?

I would advise people to work as a team and learn from everyone around them.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?

Last year we ran an internal event for a food retailer that I saw through from beginning to end. We got people to make food and decided on eight winners who were invited to the head office for a cook-off and treated to a nice weekend.

What do you hope to achieve before you're 40?

I want to continue working at Cascade and expand my skills there. I’m also a keen traveller so would like to get to South America and Italy.

What would be your dream event to work on?

The royal wedding of Meghan and Harry, I think it would have been really interesting to see what went on there and how they dealt with security and the guest list

If you could pick anyone to be your next keynote speaker, who would it be?

JK Rowling, I think she’s really inspirational, especially to women.

What job would you be doing if you weren't working in events?

I’m really keen on health and go to the gym a lot so I think I’d be a nutritionist or dietician.
