Venues and Events International has won a contract from Honda of the UK Manufacturing to produce its Innovation Expo in June, at its 370-acre Swindon manufacturing plant.

The annual event provides Honda’s UK manufacturing associates, suppliers and other stakeholders the opportunity to network and showcase innovations from the past 12 months. The event also aims to inspire delegates and make them feel excited to be a part of the company’s future.

Due to the size and location of the event, Honda wanted to see event concepts that include the build and production of a marquee that would cater for 600 guests for their opening and closing ceremonies.

As part of the contract, Venues and Events International will provide full project management, onsite event management and production for the event, as well as overseeing all health and safety requirements.

Steve Schwartz, account director for Venues and Events International, said: "We’re delighted to be working with Honda and to support them in producing such an important event for the company.

"We believe our personalised approach and attention to detail will ensure Honda successfully meets their objectives and that delegates will leave the event inspired."

Chloé Dodgson, corporate communications manager at Honda of the UK Manufacturing, added: "Venues and Events showed the ability to take our initial ideas and develop them into a clear and exciting plan."

"We’re thrilled to be working together with Honda again," said Anita Lowe, chief executive for Venues and Events International. "Having supported with their events many years ago, it’s fantastic to be back in partnership and we look forward to bring this event to life next month."
