The second day of the forum featured one-to-one meetings and enlightening talks by speakers with digital expertise.

After a busy first day at the Association Forum, guests enjoyed cocktails at a drinks reception hosted by the Aviator Hotel.

Once the gin cocktails had been polished off, it was back to the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre for the gala dinner.

Day two began with a talk by Jenny Atkinson, communications and events manager at the UK Chamber of Shipping. Her talk was called ‘Driving event marketing through social media’, in which she explained the benefits for events of high-quality video, podcasts, web and social media content.

Then came two sessions of one-to-one meetings, before Heather Goult, digital communications manager at the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), talked delegates through the intricacies of organising a 24-hour virtual event for an audience in 190 countries.
