Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau has won the bid to host the first meeting of the International Societies for Investigative Dermatology (ISID) in 2023.
It will be held from May 10-14, 2023 at Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo, and will be the first ever ISID meeting.
Anticipated to lead to future breakthroughs in investigative dermatology and cutaneous biology, the event expects to attract over 2,500 specialists from more than 50 countries.
The main factor for Tokyo’s bid win was the recognition of Japan’s long-standing contribution to the ISID’s mission to strengthen the field of dermatology, both scientifically and internationally. Assured financial and in-kind support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) were also decisive factors.
The Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology (JSID) has confirmed it will focus its power on fostering collaboration between Asian and Oceanian dermatologists, creating a strong, expansive network particularly between young specialists and researchers.
