Qantas has launched a new direct flight from London Heathrow to Perth, Australia, which will take around 17 hours.

The service will be the first regular passenger service to directly link Australia with Europe.

The airline is also opening a new Qantas Perth lounge to coincide with the launch of the route. Customers will benefit from stretching classes, jetlag-reducing lights and an outdoor terrace.

The lounge offers a range of unique features including ‘light therapy’ in the shower suites to help adjust the body clock and a refresh area providing hydrating face products.

Perth has an abundance of parks, sightseeing and museums, including Kings Park and Botanic Garden, The Fergusson Gallery and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.
