Ombria Resort to open in Algarve by early 2020

Luxury property will have an 18-hole golf course and observatory for star-gazing.

A new luxury development, Ombria Resort, is scheduled to open in the Algarve, Portugal, in early 2020.

It is set among 153 hectares of rolling hills, rivers and forests, five miles north of Loulé and 12 miles from the beaches and Faro airport.

The resort will include an 18-hole golf course, an astronomical observatory, organic farming garden, honey harvesting facilities, kids zone, spa, five restaurants, heated swimming pools, paths for nature walks and mountain biking and other sports facilities.

Signature features of the hotel will include a focus on the use of renewable solar and geothermal energies, innovative materials, environmental certification and social responsibility, respecting the environment and local heritage, assets and community.
