BCD Meetings & Events has hired John Kelly as senior marketing manager to oversee marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

He will be responsible for increasing awareness of the expanding brand across the regions and highlighting BCD M&E’s focus on strategic meeting management, Life Sciences, large-scale creative productions and product launches.

Kelly will also be responsible for the continued communications and brand development of Fast Forward 15, the mentoring scheme founded by BCD’s VP Fay Sharpe.

Before joining BCD M&E, John held high-profile roles within the meetings and events industry and is recognised for marrying his deep-rooted knowledge of the sector and it’s influencers with a creative and engaging edge.

"It’s great to have John join us at this key time in our business growth," said Sharpe. "Our focus is to consolidate our messaging across the region with what we’re doing globally and to really shout about the amazing clients and mix of events we produce throughout the world."

Kelly added: "For me, it was vitally important to join a company that is forward focused, has clear integrity in business processes and is dedicated on delivering service excellence for their clients. BCD M&E fit that bill perfectly and I am very excited to be joining them at such an exciting point in their history."
